We were coming in last night and i lost power to my nav/anchor lights and the interior led's. All of the other switches on the dash have power to them. Once we got home and cleaned the boat up, i tried them again and they came on for about 5 seconds then lost power. It seems like it is going into some sort of protect mode.

Anyone else ever experience anything like this?

Mine used to do that, I chalked it up to a bad connection and put in one of the flip up Malibu lights and haven't really noticed it cutting on and off since then, may have been a dirty connection at the bulb but I used it as an excuse to go with the flush mount.

Yeah, it's just lights so I would assume just a loose/dirty/bad connection rather than any kind of protection circuit.

I narrowed the problem down to the interior LED rocker switch causing the breaker to trip. Upon some more investigating i found that one of my underwater transom LED's leaked and burned up (on the same circuit as interior LED's). I'm assuming that's whats causing the breaker to trip. I'm not really electrical savy, but i assume if i cut the wires to the transom light and tape the ends/break the connection that my breaker wont trip anymore.

By the way this is the third time i've had to replace one of the underwater transom lights. Won't have these on my next boat.
