Axis Wakeboard Boat Forum

I'm looking to upgrade my prop soon and am deciding between these props. We're going to be running 3000-3500 lbs in ballast + wedge and 3-6 people. We boat in northern Oklahoma so elevation is only 1000'. I have the standard 330 hp in my A22. We wakeboard 90%, may surf 10% and never running across the lake wide open so not concerned with that. We normally only run 20-30 depending on the water to get where we board. What would you guys go with?

I went with the 2315. You won't be disappointed with it.

The 15" props clear the hull and trailer no problem?

Yes 15 ' s will clear both.

2315 all day for the A22.

I demoed T22's one with the 5 blade and the other with high torque 2315 I think? not sure about the size but the 4 blade to me outperformed the cinco at slower speeds imho.

For surfing the 4 blade prop seem to pull better(easier) not much difference on top end speed but kept the rpm to 4500 because new boats, not sure how they would perform at higher rpms. wake boarding did notice any real difference however took out some ballast for wake boarding

I see 2315 props all day long go out at boardstop for Malibu/Axis boats. I have run a 2315 on my boats for the past few years. No complaints. We tested a few Acme 5 blades and still went back to the 2315. Never tried an OJ but you cannot go wrong with a 2315 on the A22.

The 2315 works on the a20 right?

On the A20 some are saying the 2079. but I have seen a number of A20 guys get the 2315. I would see if any A20 guys have had the 2079 and 2315 on the same boat, same weight setup and see if they saw much of a difference on the A20.

2079 is a 14.5" prop. Is that to imply that a 15" prop doesn't have clearance on the a20?
