That's a sweet setup.

I am envious of you handy folks that have the patience to go through with the build process from beginning to end.

Thinking about selling REV 485's and getting REV 410's. Anyone heard these side by side...? May not be worth it. Ideas....?

zetchvp ... I hope a monster alternator is included in your build, and you like getting in your boat and cranking it every hour lol.

I'm running a 600/6 JL on my rev 3-some tower and another 600/6 on the interiors, which will be getting upgraded later this year likely. and a 600/1 on an alpine type R 12 in a proted box. looking at running a w7 12 possibly after a battery bank is built. probably two red top stinger 1700's and then my optima 31 on the boat side. It sounds good as is though fa show!

The Rev410's sound much better than the 485's. Tons more midrange and a much less harsh overall sound. Don't get me wrong, I loved my 485's, but they would make your ears bleed if you stood behind them at any volume. If you end up wanting to order some, I've got two people who would both give you good prices.

Bama I have read the same thing. The 485's are just as loud but there is no comparing the sound quality. You just need to make sure the 410's are getting all the power they need and are tuned properly. My service guy complimented my system the other day (2 rev 10's on a syn4) and said it sounded better the dual rev 410's they had on a new A22. I told him that the 410's were either underpowered or not properly tuned and most. Likely both.

I got 2 shore chargers to recharge the batteries coming, so the Alternator should(hopefully) never come into play.

As for cranking all the time...I may do that here and there when the kids aren't with us, but we also take weekend trips often so the extra play time will be handy. The big thing was I got the OK from the CFO to do the stereo build, so I took advantage and decided to do it right the first time, that way I won't have to add anything later on. I plan on having this boat for a while, so why not right???
