I had the same problem with my 2014 T22. If you read the manual it tells you how to adjust the speed control so that they both match up. I don't know why they are set weird from the factory but it was an easy fix. No need for any type of warranty. Just read the manual if you ever have boat issues.
Just my opinion but I don't think Malibu/Axis would be working on a fix if it was a simple inaccurate calibration adjustment. I've read the manual and adjusted the crap out of it. Its still not right. I never had to make any type of adjustment with various versions of perfect pass. Why is rpm perfect and mph needs an adjustment straight from the factory. My surfwave is better at 9.2mph??? yeah right. It seems like the slower your going the bigger the problem is. Sorry to vent, just tired of hearing ridiculous answers for a valid problem. I'm an automotive tech, I deal with this crap all the time. I'm constantly reflashing various modules for poor programming issues. I will say this is the first "vehicle" I haven't been able to just fix myself, the only vehicles I've bought recently are from my dealership and I do all the warranty work. I thought it would be nice to have somebody else fixing something for once when I bought the boat but im just more irritated because I don't have a hand in it. We have a very high expectation for service and warranty work at my dealer, so that's what I expect from other dealers.
