to senthetic or not

Are any of you guys using full senthetic oil ? If so then how often do you change senthetic oil in your boat ?

dont switch over until the 100hr mark is what indmar told me, after that i will be running AmsOil, until then its the pennzoil marine that is recommended. and i usually change my oil every 40-50 hours. just did my 20 hr first service and i put another 10 on it over the 4th weekend.

I was told the same thing. Not sure the reasoning but figured I would go with their recommendation. I have about 80-90 hours on our boat and I have changed the oil twice... I used rotella 15-40, napa gold filter 1069

I have always ran rotella and papa gold in my malibus. Changed the oil every 50 hours and had over 1200 hours on one. I have only had my axis 2 weeks and have already put 20 hours on it. I figured if I ran synthetic as suggested then I should be able to go longer between changes as you would do with q car.

Nope. Used rotella and napa gold filters.

I use Delo 15W-40 and Napa Gold 1069 filter, change the oil every 50 hrs.
