2014 Texas AXBU @Bethy Creek.

We're a few months off, but I made a map for those of you coming out and launching from Bethy Creek. The other option is to drive over to HWY 19 public launch.

Please follow the map to avoid any problems. I've included some depth readings as well. DatTexasBoy (Rance) and I were out yesterday and the river is full. This pic was taken during the drought 2-3 years ago and the cut was unusable. You had to launch from 19.

Point A is typically the round up spot after everyone is riding. We usually tie up and hang out a bit before going in for dinner, etc.
You'll want to follow track (B) following close to the slips on your right. DO NOT CUT THE LAKE! There are some stumps and shallow spots there.

Look to your left and you'll see the pylon guides directing you through cut. The depth drops off and it's not uncommon to churn up some mud if there hasn't been that much rain. I've been coming here 2+ years and never had a problem except drought.
Once you make it to the river, the depth will go from 3-3.5 to 25-30ft instantly.

Eeeesh...talk about sketchy shallow. I'm used to shallow being 20-30ft.

Ive pesonally never had a problem going through it. Randall jr. Who runs bethy creek always provides updates on the cut. There is also hwy19 which is a nice launch.
Those pics dattexasboy posted are 'average' day on trinity.
Once u see it on a good day nothing else compares!
