So are we thinking best bet is tower down and no cover for a long trip? Seems like a nightmare with bugs and dust, no?

My problem is not the bugs, but the dirt and mildew. i dont want to use bleach but the non bleach mildew remover dont cut it. I want my bright white tower back

Here is the tower stand that comes with the Axis. Seems pretty easy to build one. 28" tall with a 2" deep round cut out. Slanted at about a 15 degree angle. Base is 10" x 10"

Hate to repeat but are you guys not getting the insides of your boats dirty on long tows? I did it once on an hour long drive and the inside was disgusting afterwards

Our dealer told me that the cover is not designed for long tows. He sees a lot of scuff and gel coat rub marks. Nothing permanent but a pain in the butt

I tow minimum of 2 hours each way and I've never towed with the cover on, it can do way worse to the gel than a little rain or dirt can to the interior, I've only been rained on twice though, usually pretty clean and dry where I tend to go, and I always tow with the tower down.

Walter- on a two hour drive do you simply set it like the image on the first page? Or do you do something different?

Thanks! I have always been scared of the damage from the cover over long periods of time....ill battle the Arizona landscape and just bring an extra bottle of interior cleaner and some more towels..lol

Ya I just rest the tower on a throw cushion, if you're in AZ your probably in the same climate zone as me, it's real dusty and dry where I'm at, west Texas, never really need to clean the interior until after I tow home from a 3 day weekend trip
