I guess it's certain iPhone 5. I have the 5c. Have you tried to tried to use the aux instead of the USB?

I have an IPhone 5 but have always hooked it up through the headphone jack from my phone to the back of the Sony head unit. Cable was only like $7. Never had an issue.

The USB is so much more convenient than headphone jack. Sound quality rocks, pause skip etc all work AND the best part is that it charges your phone. I'd be upset if mine weren't working. If you get a resolution let us know what it is.

For the ones that are working what year is your boat?

After talking to Verizon apparently there is a Sony glitch with the new IOS7 operating system. They don't jive somehow...

If yours works count yourself lucky.

2014 A22 with the stock sony HU. I love having control over the iPhone through the HU. I was surprised that it controlled pandora and slacker as well.

Yeah bro I'm at 7.1.1.

:(

It may seem like a small issue but that is the whole point of the USB cord in the boat... but stuff like that drives me crazy lol
