Amsugg my wife and I just picked up the new phantom 2 vision plus! Can't wait to try it out. I saw a video where they attached part of the foam floaty to it so it would float if it landed in water. Can't wait to get some nice shots with it!

Oh caliguy! I am so jealous! I was just checking out some videos of that exact model this morning with my son! Did you buy it locally or online? I can't wait to see some pictures from it! The new camera of the "plus" version looks awesome.

yea fish i bought it online. think it was from 1uas. get it in on mon and cant wait to try it out! its primarily going to be used for my wifes film company but definitely going to get some shots out on the water!

I heard if you add the prop guards it makes it more visible? But I would hate to add even more weight

I don't want mine going near the water, the float's might keep it afloat but camera and internal electronics will be wreaked so it might save you if you can get it quick but your still going to spend some loot getting it back up and going

prop guards are good until you get the hang of it and figure out the depth perception part of it, but they will cut some time off your flight. I think upwards of two min maybe just a shade below that mark. I never purchased them but I would of saved a few crashes if I had but in the end flight time is more important to me plus there are no trees on the lake ....lol

super stoked about this season .... so this is my first test into filming something boat related with the phantom. keep in mind im still flying blind so im just guessing as to the framing of the shot (last piece for FPV arrives Tuesday). so once I can see ill get closer and play with what looks good and what doesn't still freaking awesome. nothing special (no tricks) just looped one song and cut out the long stops and crashes.
