I finally got to go try out the new prop. I've tried the 1235 and 1615 with the modified cup. I have to say the new 5 blade is about the same hole shot as the 1615. I had to let a little weight out the back to get on plane like i've had to with all the other props (i have the 335 engine). When wakeboarding I always fill the center front bag and the rears to the max and put the wedge down. To get on plane I usually have to let weight out the back till I feel the boat can actually plane out. I had 9 people with me and approximately 3100lbs of ballast in the boat plus the wedge down and I was running 3200 3300 rpms at 23.6 mph. If you guys are looking for a better hole shot like I was hoping its not going to happen, but it will save you gas since you're running lower rpms. I topped out at 41mph too if anyone cares. I live in ohio so elevation isn't an issue for me. Hope this helps anyone.

Was your 1615 the 12.75 pitch or the 13.75 pitch, there is 2 different ones, the low pitch has a -112m after the first number and the engraving on the center of the prop is different

i had the 112 i returned it due to the fact I personally believed it didn't do much better than the 1235 i got with the boat. i think the 5 blade is by far better. . . hole shot is around the same, but then again i had engine issues and that could have caused an unfair opinion when i had the 1615.

Ok, well I did notice a very large gain in holeshot with the 1615-112m over the 1235, at the same lake with the same weight the 112m gets out of the water and to speed much faster with less stress on the engine, only thing is it spins around 3500 to 3800 at 24 mph, but it is with less stress on the powertrain, I just don't want to overpower the crankshaft and have bearing problems in a few years, I think I may just stick with what I have unless I can test one out first, engine longevity is my main goal and I feel the rpm has far less to do with it than the actual load

I was told that the 112m is no longer available. Are you guys still able to get them from Acme?

Is there anybody who went from the 1235 straight to the Cinco? I'm thinking of doing this but I want to know if I'm going to see any considerable gain in holeshot. I'm having issues planing with the following:
all 900lbs of hard tanks full
750 in the bow full
2x750s in the rear lockers full
Wedge down
2 people in the boat (1 of which is sitting on the bow - 175lbs)

Is it reasonable to plane out with this setup? Do I just need more bow weight? The mushroom bag in the front tends to put a lot of the weight toward the center, not toward the tip of the bow. I'm thinking of putting in the lead weight from Leadwake too. Any thoughts?

NastyA20 went from the 1235 to the cinch, so hopefully he can chime in about the hole shot, he too has an A20 running similar weight, and yes it is reasonable to expect to get on plane with that weight set up. as for lead, the front bow backrest cushion in the center of the bow between the speakers pops off really easy, use a plastic putty knife or ruler the first time. then 3 screws takes off that triangle aluminum axis plate and vinyl backing. this exposes a 6" access hole for the bow light. TONS of room up there for lead. lead-wake bags fit through the hole with a little bit of modifying with a saw. I tried to get my lead up there by coming from the side or middle of bow where the mushroom sack goes, but it was too tight...

You will not see a "considerable" gain. I went from 1235 to 5 blade and I run your same weight setup but I use a 400 in the bow and leave my rear 750's a little less than full. I'm still deciding if there's any gain at all but the rpms are down. I'm also questioning gas savings.

Anyone want to chime in on how to get the 5-blade prop off since a c-clamp type puller will not fit. Maybe a little heat and a "massager" (hammer and a piece of wood)?
