I do believe that "dat tx boy" Rance had a MB F22. I'm sure he can help with pros and cons of the two. Good luck

IMO the difference between the MB and the A24 is the wake and the physical size difference.
The Axis wake is going to clean up for wakeboarding at a much slower speed than the MB. The A24 will take more weight for surfing and for boarding than the MB. Surfgate is a plus just for ease of use and safety with the family. The A24 is a big boat lots of room for people and storage and plug and play ballast. You will sit deeper in the A24 than you would in the F22 this is handy if you have kids or get on big water on occasion.
The MB is a great boat if you want to surf with stock weight or wakeboard 23+. The MB in general needs one bag in the walkway to help get some weight forward in the boat. The hard tanks run to just about under the helm so it needs just a touch of weight in the bow or walk through. The quality of the MB parts are really good and IMO have to been seen in person to appreciate. However the new tower is just to darn ugly.
For me the MB is a no go because I have to small girls and a wife that like to board as well. The MB is just to uncomfortable for them to ride behind.
Rance should be able to give you more info about his F21.

Yes I agree with what is said about the wakes. If you have a wife and kids that like to ride at lower speeds then Axis is the way to go. That's why I am back in an Axis now.
Wakes are different in a lot of ways but I love both at 23mph. Axis does require more weight. I ran stock ballast and a 450 up front on MB and it was money.
Build quality on both are really good to me. I will say and I know I may catch hell over it but I'm just too honest sometimes. The MB has a much more PLUSH feel to it on the inside. The interior is Top Notch for the money.
With that being said I still love my Axis and my Texas Malibu dealer.

My buddy has a 2013 F21 and I like it a lot. Only gripes for are the shallow seating, the bow is very small, small sun pad area, and the factory headunit really sucks. The boat totally rails in turns at WOT. Rough water ride is excellent, you can steer the the boat with one finger, and interior material is very nice and soft

Updated - MXZ out for sure and now really down to F22 or the A24. Really appreciate the feedback, just torn because:
A24 - LOVE my Axis, has been amazing through a TON of riding since I've had it. - love the look of the A24, and the upgrades they've done since mine (vinyl, ballast, surfgate) improve upon an already amazing boat. - Axis dealer has been beyond great to me through whole experience. - I could go on and on why I love the Axis but you guys all already know...haha
F22 - as much as I love Axis, I have to agree that the interior layout/quality/finish goes to the MB...pretty crazy how high-end it feels while keeping price comparable to the A24 or under. - interior design has a lot of space and they've gone to higher freeboard so seats, storage, etc all have more room than previous Tomcats. - Apparently new hull design which results in cleaner wake even at slower speeds. Folks who I trust (and who teach kids to wakeboard for a living haha) say it is great for riders of all levels now and very comparable to my Axis (though wake is of course different shape). - Local dealer has been amazing to deal with for some close friends and I believe also has solid reputation.

If It comes down to the wake I'd ride both and see for myself.

tough choice for sure. I have not ridden the F22, but the A24 wake is AMAZING. Amazing. The boat I rode had stock plus plug n play 750's and a few hundred lbs of lead in the cabin. 2 adults, half fuel, and the wake was the size and shape as my A22 with 5000 lbs in it. I loved it.
But yes, go ride both, and bring sacks for both as well…. and if you surf…??
Axis wins hands down. We took a fully loaded set, threw the handle and board in the boat, grabbed the surfer, and was surfing within 30 seconds, either side. I am not a surfer, but that was a really cool experience.
Good luck and let us know how the demo on both go.

Update - happy as hell I think we're back to all Axis. Deciding now if we do jump up to A24 or maybe go for the T22...just waiting to test drive one and get to check out the ride on the wake. If anyone has any feedback or comparisons between the A and T wakes I'd appreciate it.
Oh on the MB...still a great boat and may check out the Tomcat again down the road. For now, we were recently reminded how amazing and consistent our A20 wake is so sticking with Axis!
