I know the answer is already on this forum somewhere but I can't find it. Do you need to reinforce the engine compartment for the Sumo 900's? in a 2013 A22? Debating on if I should get the 750's or just go for the 900's since the price difference isn't very much.

I would with the 900's. Their 750's hold over 800lbs so their 900's will exceed 900lbs easily. The Fly Hi 1100's don't fill near all the way and everyone re-enforces using those because of the pressure it puts on the divider walls.

Reinforcing the dividers is pretty easy. I did it recently.

I'm planning to reinforce mine this weekend before I install the 800's - hopefully next week!

Great thread. Was wondering about this myself. I was going to get 750's just because I'm not sure how to reinforce the walls.

All for about $30 at your local hardware store.

Honestly you could probably get by with one rail going at a 45* angle with 3 bolts and washers and save a lot of time and it would offer ridgity to the engine divider.

Oh sweet. So it's just bars bolted onto the walls. Thanks dezul for this. Might have to pick up 1100's instead of 750's now.
