My 2012 A22 didn't come with the pop-up cleats. I wanted to add them myself. Looking for advise. Has anyone done this aftermarket if so how hard is it to do.

We ordered ours with them but looking at them last night I don't think they would be too hard to install. Drill two holes and backer plate with locking nuts. Scary part is drilling the gel coat and fiberglass. Really sharp bit and run it backwards to get through the gel coat. Sorry I don't have better info.

To minimize chipping and to set the center of the hole, step drill the holes. Start something very small as your pilot hole (normal direction), then keep increasing bit size until you get to the hole you need.
