A 24 ballast set up

What are we thinking guys stock plus pnp rear 1100? or 750? the front pnp the flighhigh bag. think ill need mor in bow? or??? any experience with weight setups for boarding and surf gate surfing appreciated!!!!

I wouldn't get 1100's since they are not true 1" fittings. Get the 900 Sumo for the rears. I chatted with a couple people who were at dealer demo and they said 750's, bow sack, and either 5-7 people in the cabin or 750-1000lbs of sacks and the wave was stupid big. My dealer has demo'd there's with just 750's and bow sack with minimal crew and got a big wave. Seems like everyone has been seeking the best surf set up with the A24 so far, not much in the way of wakeboard info but I'm pretty sure it'll be easy to set up. It's hard to mess up an Axis wakeboard wake as long as you try to keep the boat 60/40 or 50/50 weighted

With all the Axis and Malibu boats with Surfgate I am seeing way more bfi 750 setups being ordered. DatTexasBoy are you getting any water over the top of the gate with the 900s? I know on my last boat if I had it fully loaded I would get wash in the surf wake because of water coming over the top.

I only run 600's but I figure with the A24 you need a little extra.

750's fit the locker perfectly, they do not get squished down like in the 22 or 20. I rode an A24 twice with this set up…

Straight line bow sack, sumo 750's (bro-stock edition), 1000 lbs of lead in the center under the seats, no wedge….

Wakeboard wake was incredible, didn't surf it but a couple of the guys did and loved it. I am sure there is some tweaking to be had for the surf wave, as usual.

I would go with the Sumo 900's so that you have that extra weight if you need it to tweak your wake/wave…. and if you decide to get crazy and add more weight to the bow with a sack. A 450 or a 600 fits perfectly in the bow on the floor, I forget which one we tried.

Whatever you go with, definitely go SUMO as the fill/drain holes match up perfectly… it is ridiculously fast to fill and drain, takes less than half the time my A22 does.
