I'm about to order my new Sumo set up and have a few questions... I'm trying to decide between the rear 600's and 450's.

Boat has the 335 and High Altitude prop

Will the 600's be too much stress or will I regret getting the 450's? I was kinda leaning more toward the 450's because I heard they were actually rated at 470... But I don't want to get them and not see much of a difference in that set up and my old fly high 400's.

Lastly, how much more water does the Sumo bow fill than the fly high? So I'll know when I'm looking at the weight ratio.

I'm gonna get the rucsac 225lbs to throw on top of the bow when needed.

My experience with the demoing the A20 says go with the 600s and definitely plan on more weight up front.

How did they fill in the lockers? Did they fill all the way in a fitted position with no pressure ? Did you happen to get a pic of that wake ? Thanks idahosurf

You will want more weight for surfing. If you don't need it when boarding just don't fill them all the way. Get the bigger ones so you don't have to upgrade later. I run the fly high 750s in the rear of my A20 and they fit just fine, and I hear the sumos fit even better.

These are some pics I have posted in other threads. Disclaimer: this was a tournament lake that is no more than 20' deep and we had the 400lb sacks in the lockers and the fly high arrow bag under the bow. Thus my recommendation for the 600s in the locker and more weight in the bow. We also didn't use the wedge.

I say get the 600's or better yet the 750's for surfing later. Since your boat doesn't have surf gate you'll have to list the boat to surf. Better to have the extra room in the 750's then regretting it later.

I agree with AJ. I didn't take into account the lack of surfgate. Your going to want as much weight on each side as possible. I will also say your going to want way more than an extra 200lbs in the bow.

Get the sumo 900 so that surfing is easy to setup. You don't have to fill them all the way.

Also in that thread is the FH bow sack and SUMO bow sack. I sold my fly high bow sack to get the sumo bow sack because it is so much better for so many reasons.

I say go with the Sumo 600's for sure, they fit perfectly and fully expand without putting pressure anywhere. Someone on wakeworld actually weighed a bunch of fly high sacks, Sumo sacks, and ronix sacks. The fly high 750's only hold 720 or so fully expanded, but in your A20 they will not fully expand and get squished under the access panel, the Sumo 600's held 660 fully expanded. I did a side by side test last year and my observations were that the sumo 600's and fh 750's hold the exact same amount as each other when in my A22 lockers. Plus the 600's do not put pressure anywhere in our lockers.

Definitely will want that 200 sack in the bow on the seats all the way forward. That set up will be excellent for wakeboarding. If you are going to surf a lot, you will need to seriously consider the sumo 900's.

Are the A20 and A22 lockers the same size?
