Hey guys, Im going to be doing my stereo install hopefully next weekend. I have 3 Interstate 29 batteries that will be the dedicated stereo bank, and I'll have the dedicated cranking battery for a total of 4 batteries. I really dont want to cram 4 batteries in the OB compartment. I hope to have a pretty sweet amp rack I will be building, and was wondering if there is room to put the batteries under the seat just aft of the OB compartment. Where is everyone relocating the batteries for more than just a dual battery set up? I'd like to keep the batteries somewhat close to the amps, so was thinking there would be ideal. Any insight would be great.

Why not go two 6v batteries instead of three SRM29's? You'll have more play time and lose one battery.

Im definitely not against that at all. I will have a SD6, SD4, and SD2, so I dont know how many amp hours I will actually need. With the 29s, Im at about 345 AH. I found some 6vs that are 220 each so 440 AH. I wish I would have known that before I bought those 29s last summer! We will probably anchor out up to 3-5 hours at a time playing the system. Or at least I'd like to have the batteries to play 70% that long.

Bryce, waiting to see how you fit those under the seat. If we end up with two house batteries I will look to put them there as well. I will be running a syn4 and km800.5

I currently have 3 SRM29's on my stereo bank and have 2 under that seat in boxes. If you mount the 3 to one of those floor battery mounting brackets you might get 3 under there but I doubt it (if you're talking about under that removable observers cushion). I play my stereo for 4-5 hours straight and never had an issue with voltage drop getting too low at all and none of my amps are class D or better.
