Looks like Mastercraft is getting into the affordable wakeboat market
http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showthre ... page=99999

Sure looks like an Axis to me.

That tower looks awful. I like most wakeboats, but can not get into MC styling at all.

I 100% agree with Raimie, tower is terrible and the sloping line looks like a saggy butt.

From some of the posts I've seen, I wouldn't be surprised if that tower is just for show. MC said it's just a shell for now

That was more of an ironic statement. Does it actually look like an Axis? Well, no. I think anybody with functioning eyeballs can see that. The irony is all the MC owners who have put down the "entry" boats now have to deal with their beloved, holier than though brand, building one. Kind of like all the stuck up Malibu owners who swore that Axis would fail. But as we all know, just like the smart Malibu and Mastercraft owners, there is a market for affordable boats.

I'm just one who hates the slow unresponsive touchscreens of all the fancy new boats....

I hope this pushes Axis to price their boats lower. The price creep has been insane lately.

I am another one who hopes this will at least slow down the price increases we have seen over the last couple of years on Axis Boats. I am on my second Axis and plan on buying another in a couple years if I can still afford one then.

As long as all these boat manufacturers keep selling enough boats to make money, prices will not go down. Even when supply meets demand they will just cut supply. Ala 2007 and on. Even in a recession prices have gone up steadily.
