I've had absolutely no issues with my BFI bags. Hearing that SL may hold a little more weight doesn't make me want to switch. Hearing about the issues with the fittings really doesn't make me want to switch. If I ordered another Axis, my PnP bags would still be BFI.

The SL fitting problem is really no issue. Glue them in and your done.

I would disagree with it not being an issue. Don't get me wrong I am glad you got yours squared away and wish that had been the case for me. However, I had both of my 600's empty into my bilge , several times, even after being glued. On my arrow bag I had the fill and drain fittings pull loose after being glued, it either started dumping in the bilge or spewed a geyser depending on which one pulled out. This started our first trip out with p&p and was an issue throughout the summer. It happened so often that I expected a problem and by the end of the summer I was using a sumo pump to fill and empty the bags. I was told in June that SL would have a solution mid July...came and went no solution. My dealer finally got SL to give me a refund and are replacing them with BFI/FH bags now while I am getting warranty work done on my boat.

Now for some perspective, like I told my kids, "If the worst problem you have is your wake boat ballast bags are jacked up, then you got it pretty good" so I don't want this to be misconstrued as rant. I'm not bashing the Sumo's, just relating my experience.

I know this doesn't really have to do with the ballast bags on a 14 but instead of starting a new thread about ballast or bumping one from a while ago I'll ask here.

I noticed on the wedge on my boat that there are two bolts that keep the wedge from dropping all the way. If you take the two bolts out there is another set of holes that it could lock into. Would the wedge being all the way down make a better wake that if it was free floating?
Another question is I recently got bags for the boat and for wakeboarding I can just let water out of the back to even up the front but for surfing what would be the cheapest way to add about 3-400 lbs. in the bow? I want to be able to move it to the back of the boat while not surfing though just to keep the nose a little higher.

I assume you are talking about the free floating wedge and not the power wedge. Don't quote me on the exact numbers but if the bolts are in the lower most holes, that is supposed to be like 800lbs. If you move the bolts up, that is the maximum setting that simulates 1200lbs. Feel free to correct me on the numbers, but I do know the upper holes are the maximum setting for the free floating wedge.

Which year do you have? I will answer the bag question first. Do you have the arrow bag installed for the PnP? If so, it is easier to lighten the front by letting water out of the front arrow sac instead of pumping out the rear. Most people suggest keeping the weight close to equally balanced in the front and back. What is your current setup? It would help for us to determine best possible solution.

I have a 2012 and no my dad and I went with the SL 650 because we still wanted the the space under the flip up seats for our ropes and bumpers.

So you have the SL 650 in the bow on top of the seats and 2xSL540 in the rear locker? The easiest solutions is put the amount of weight you want in the front for wakeboarding and don't use the wedge. When you go to surf, just drop the wedge.

The 650 is under the seats. It fits down there nicely. Just doesn't stretch like they showed on that thread on WW. Yes the 540's are in the lockers. I just need more weight up front for surfing, we made that home surfgate and it works great I just think a little more weight up front for surfing would be good. As far as the wakeboard wake goes I can let water out of the back because that wake is good for me for probably a while.
