I am no expert by no means but from my research you will hear a lot about Wet sounds and Exile products.

"Best" sound is what you like. The 2 big players in the game of tower speakers are Wetsounds followed by Exile. Wetsounds is also very popular with interior speakers with a vast selection to suit your needs. However, with that said, I personally think the highend JL Audio marine speakers have the warmest, full sound of the interior speakers. Also, the selection and tuning of amps and signal processor (EQ), choice in cables/wiring, and construction/design of the sub enclosure are vital to a good sound system.

This is a very subjective subject. Almost like which boat is the best? I think there are a bunch of great sounding stereos out there and some are definitely more popular than others. Personally I couldn't justify spending the coin that it would cost to deck out our boat in wetsounds, JL, or exile. I found a great deal on a slightly used set of rev10s and a syn 4. I have listened to a bunch of tower speakers and love the sound of the revs. I couldn't pay full price for them though. We will be doing kicker speakers and amps in the rest of the boat. I am really happy with the sound and quality of the newer kicker marine speakers and they are stepping up their game with some of their new lines coming out. Still expensive equipment but within my budget. I would encourage anyone looking at doing an install to go research all the options. DON'T just take what everyone says on the forums. It's pretty mellow here and I appreciate that but ask this same question on wakeworld and it's an instant dick measuring fight.

AJ and Idahosurf are spot on. Best option is to go listen for yourself. It can cost some serious $$$ so make sure you don't get influenced by some salesman saying XXX is the best.

Really it all depends on what you're after. Surf speakers up close, or sound that reaches out 70' and beyond getting pulled at 21+ with engine and wind noise. Lots of different options and amps. I run Wetsounds Rev10's and 410 on tower powerered by Arc Audio and Wetsounds 650 cabin/Kicker 12CVX powered by Kicker IX amps. Amp selection and battery supply is also a factor if you're going to be sitting at the cove listening to tunes frequently. Multiple batteries, class of amp, etc.

You can check with Exile and Wetsounds for local dealers in your area.
