Hello all this is my first post so thanks in advance for the patience.

I am very close to finishing a purchase of a 2010 A22. It doesn't appear to have the plug and play option and I was wondering how easily I can do that myself. It seems like it's just hoses and fittings from the existing hard tanks to the sacs and what not. I looked around a little yesterday but I didn't find a lot of how to's on this. Have there been any clear write ups that I missed?

I have seen a few write ups in the past on hooking the plug and play up, but don't recall seeing a DIY without the plug and play. Look on the dash to see if it has the toggle for the front ballast. That will be a for sure sign if the plug and play was installed from the factory. FYI. The plug and play does not come with the bags, you had to purchase those on your own. Good luck and welcome to the Axis family.

Art, congrats on your future purchase. You will love that boat and wake. I think you are correct, I have not seen any DIY for adding additional ballast yourself, but it is fairly easy, at least the rear lockers. the bow will be tricky.

The PNP option is truly only one powered rocker switch on the dash for the front bag, and 2 additional pumps in the bow… a fill and drain. Of course there are the hoses that are pre plumbed, but that is cheap and easy to do yourself.

The one fill pump in the bow is a separate pump but right next to the "center" tank fill pump. You could drill a hole and install a pump, it is not as big of a deal as it sounds, or you could Y off from the center fill pump or tank. This would be really easy, but it will take a very long time (20 minutes or so???) to fill the front bow sack through the center hard tank. And depending on how you do it, you may a ball valve or two to separate the bag and sack, if you ever plan on filling the bow sack and not the center.

there are a few ways to do the bow sack, once you get your boat, start with the rear tank and sacks, then hand fill the bow sack and get your wake dialed, this will help you decide how to proceed with the bow sack(s).

keep us posted, and post a pic once you get her.

Thanks for the helpful responses!

Once I get the boat and get into it a little I'll probably hit you all up again for some council.

In the mean time let me know if anybody needs any latex.
