Sorry for the hijack..Does anyone have a picture of cement base? I have been looking for one and cant seem to find any. On the site white and cement looks identical(or at least it does every time i build one). LNDSNY3 did your dealer have samples of interior vinyl?

Thanks

no worries Kirk, I figure everybody goes through it and the more info the better. Yes, my dealer had both Malibu and Axis vinyl sample swatches. I will say this but its just my opinion based on the swatches my dealer had ( maybe they had some bad swatches). Before I went to the dealer I didn't like cement, every pic I saw it on was with white gel coat. Even the one in the dealers show room was white gel and cement vinyl. I thought the cement was too dark, but if you set it up against any color gel coat except white it looked great. id describe it as a very light grey. When I set the white and cement up against the vapor blue and charcoal metallic flake the white just didn't look right, it was too white. I don't know if it was just my dealers swatches or just how the different colors of vinyl look but the white, vapor blue, and some of the more vibrant colors looked like a cheaper grade of vinyl. The white got dirty just carrying them around. the vapor blue and white had an over spray feel to them. I just didn't like them. The cement, moonbeam, light graphite, even charcoal looked great. They had a MXZ with vapor blue vinyl in it and from a distance it looked good but up close it had that over spray feel to it. Just my opinion.
Does your dealer not have sample swatches? If they do it would definitely be worth the drive and time spent seeing them in person. having some floor model boats that have some of the colors in them was a big help.

I believe the moonbeam is lighter and a little more tan

X2 on going to the dealer and looking at all the samples!!! We spent a couple hours looking at samples and actual boats. We thought we wanted charcoal but decided against when we actually saw the difference between charcoal and light graphite. Same with white and cement on the interior. We thought we wanted white because of temps but dealer showed us cement and reminded us we hate the all white in our boat now.

I actually love the white in my 2011 A22, however, I'm wondering if the white vinyl in 2014's is a better quality/gauge of vinyl. Personally I don't have a single problem keeping my current white interior clean. My friend ordered the same EXACT black and vapor blue A22 as mine (ugh, so lame) but he chose cement interior and to me, the cement just looks dull and not vibrant. I guess that's why we get choices for different tastes. Here's my boat with all white.

AJ, I think that white looks great with all dark colors in the gel coat.
