Anyone interested in a Fresh Air Exhaust group buy?

Speak up now. I know some of you missed the 2315 and have been kicking yourself ever since.

Interested. I'm a little worried about how much harder it is to lower the wedge.

Do another 2315 gb for us newbie axis owners. I love an FAE but it is low on the list right now. The axis is more quiet than my previous boat.

So I was looking at initiating a group buy on this last year, wanted one real bad. I finally decided not to do so because after talking to my dealer I was a little concerned about warranty issues on the engine (I have a 5 yr with my insurance). Is this really a valid concern? My other issue is that I have to remove the swim platform to park in my garage and I was worried about the extra work and/or wear and tear on the FAE.

Of course now I don't have the extra money to convince my wife - something about remolding the kitchen before I spend any more on the boat.

I've only heard good things about FAE and I knew someone years ago that swore by it. I'd be interested if the price is right.

The FAE is a factory option on nautique I believe, I bought one last year and wish I'd done it sooner, best upgrade you can do, here's mine viewtopic.php?t=1644

OK... Couple of questions.

Have read that this is one of the best upgrades that someone did.

What are all of the benefits....?

1. Have heard that is makes the in-boat noise quieter as well as making the boat engine (noise) exhaust quieter...? Please feel free to chime in on this one and let me know everyones experience with this. I for one love the way my boat sounds, especially when I am on the dock and hear it pulling away from me. Sounds like a beast and I love the sound. I also haven't really had a problem with in boat noise as it really hasn't been a problem especially with the Sound Pack 3 as we usually have it up pretty loud.

2. Carbon Monoxide poisoning from exhaust for people surfing. Is this really a problem...? I really don't know and want feedback on this. It seems that with all of the air around and the fact that you are moving that it really wouldn't be a problem. I can see a problem if you are sitting on the platform with engine running, but when surfing is it really a problem or just an aftermarket add on that really may not be necessary.

Are there any other benefits that I may be overlooking?
Thanks for the feedback.

May be upgrading my prop before I do anything else.
