Looking for a Ice Chest this year. Needs to handle Texas weather, a case of Ultra, and a few bottles of water. Most importantly it can't be ginormous or the weight of a Yeti.

Just keep the pizza warm on the engine tray like usual and I'll keep providing you the passion fruit Parrot Bay out of my cooler...problem solved.

I have an AO Cooler that works good. Although I use a 65 yeti most of the time when I have whole family.

I know the Yeti is HEAVY. But it is a rock star in my opinion.
My Yeti 45 holds about 30 Bud Light bottles.
This past year before tailgating I iced down about 30 the night before. Next morning I drained some water out and put another bag of crushed ice on top. About 2 hours later I had ice in the beer.

I also have a soft sided cooler that I bought at the boat show two years ago. It seems to work OK but doesn't hold ice like they advertised.

30 beers and ice is gonna be heave no matter what cooler you have. But I agree the Yeti is heavy by itself.

I know Yeti is most people's dream cooler but I'm a huge fan of Pelican coolers (same Pelican that makes those bad a$$ gun cases). About 20% cheaper than Yeti but holds ice just the same. The only negative I hear about Yeti are the latches...maybe that's why Pelican has a beefier latch.

Update: 45qt Cooler...Yeti $349, Pelican $209

I'm going to make a custom cooler as soon as I see my A24 and measure the space under the seat for it, I'll post the whole process as I get it started.

We have an account with Yeti.. If you guys want to get a group buy on t he Yeti coolers I can look into that. I would rather just do the med/small size coolers. not the monster that requires a forklift to move when full.
