I put another one together quickly this morning for the starboard side. Took the measurements of the "mount" for ya as I went along. The "tab" part is just the 10"x22" board with the notch cut out.

Sorry, I didn't answer your other question. I honestly didn't notice any difference steering at or under wakesurfing speeds. I'm going out again today to play around a bit more with it. I'll try to pay attn more to that.

Hey 1joeyh have you noticed any added stress on the platform. I only ask because I already had some water leaking in from the platform mounts on my 2012

I haven't noticed any at all. I took my family out today to test it out with a paddle for both sides. Was great to be able to weight the boat evenly and just clamp on the gate to change sides. The wave was huge too. Had a lot of push and I noticed the wave kind of hooked around the rider a lot more. I was able to surf a lot further off to the side of the boat and the recoveries were a lot easier. Like a safety net back behind u.

I built mine with Walter's strap suggestion - at least how I envisioned it. Mine has a U shape and is tapered to match the swimdeck profile. I drilled a whole for a strap to go connect the tow hook to the swimdeck brace bar. I tied off the excess strap to the grab bar, but I dont think it was needed.

I also made me surf wedge symmetrical to be used on either side. Same dimensions and angle as Joey's except increased the face height height to 12" to allow for the flip to the otherside. I didnt get a chance to flip it before the daily t-strom, but the goofy side was biggest I have ever ridden on any boat. The wave was longer, wider, cleaner, and much taller than I have ever produced with this boat. tested it between 10.6-11.2 and all seemed good. Wedged down. middle full, both rear 1100' bags 80% full.

Looks awesome morrisdl!! I like the U shape. I completely agree with the wave being the biggest I've seen behind my boat. Did the strap keep it pretty solid while riding?

Oh yeah, and did it matter at all not having the notch cut out? Not a ton of spray or water running between the paddle and hull?

Here's mine that I put together, it took about 15 min to throw together but was very effective.

It makes a great wave, I will get some videos posted when I get them off my gopro. Very Impressed with the results.

So cool Gibbs!! Did u have yours seal up against the hull or keep it simple with a straight rectangle shaped tab?
