I am a new owner of a 2013 A22. I am getting concerned about the quality of these or at least my boat. The first trip I had it out the in boat speakers stopped working. I took it back to the dealer. They took and fixed it no questions asked. I got it back a couple days later and took it out with some friends and the tower speakers stopped working and the sea deck padding on the swim platform is peeling up. Now these are simple fixes I know but the newest thing I found is getting to me. I was putting cover on it the other day and found a crack in the gel coat right above the rub rail under the tower. I am starting to wonder about the build quality of my boat. Has anyone else had anything like this?

These are minor issues, stay cool and chat with your dealer they will sort it out. These boats kick ass and you will enjoy it better if you realize these se not major issues.

TJO.... speaker system is one of those things that would best be done by professionals if you are not capable. I am not, so I had mine set up by a pro and have had no issues other than an amp go out on me.
As for the swim pad... I had the same issue. You have a different pad by a different company than I do on my 2011, but the problem is the same. My pad peeled on all 4 corners within the first week of use. I took it in and had my dealer order a new pad and replaced it. 2 weeks later same thing with brand new pad. Come to find out, seadeck or whoever shipped my 2nd pad (and probably my 1st pad) in a cylindrical container, not flat, probably saves a ton of money on shipping. Obviously you need to unroll it and set it out in the sun so that it bends around a barrel or something big and round, making it convex. 2nd time I had my dealer replace pad I told them to let it sit out in the sun and get it to curl downward. They did and it worked. 2 years and no issue with the pad.
I wish the factory would do this with the deck track as well as it appears the curl up easily.
spider cracks near towers or holes in the gel/fiberglass can be common. Your dealer should have a gel coat repair guy take care of this for you.
annoying, but these things happen with every boat manufacturer. They shouldn't, but they do. Imagine paying $100k + on a boat and having these issues... it happens often.

I am perfectly capable of fixing all these issues myself except the gelcoat. I just thought since this boat is only four weeks old I shouldn't see any issues like this. My old boat (2010 Bryant) I never had the first problem.

I also had some gel coat issues. From my conversations with the service guys the axis boats seem to be more suceptible to gel coat issues because of all the sharp corners and creases in the style of the boat. Makes it alot easier to get an air pocket which usually causes these cracks. The first 20 hours gave me the most trouble with issues. Seems to be common in any new wake boat. We are happy with our a20 and our next boat will defanetly be a Malibu product.

It is a brand new boat. Don't worry about fixing any of these problems. Take the boat back to the dealer and have them fix everything under warranty.
I have seen a number of the deck pads come up. They will get it taken care of with the warranty. If your dealer does not get the platform SUPER clean it will peel again so hopefully they will get the platform cleaned before they put on the new traction.
It sometimes takes a few trips to get all the little bugs out. If they installed the speakers at the shop then the shop could have had a problem with the connections or you have a bad speaker, amp or ???. They can get it all fixed pretty easy. Worst part is that summer is on and most dealers are slammed with work. Since you just bought the boat your dealer should take care of you at the top of the list.
I have had a number of new wakeboard boats since 2004 and each boat always has something that needs tweaked on it.

I had some stereo issues on my A20. Tower speakers on port side would not work. Took it down to the dealer they fixed the tower problem. Then the sub wasn't working. So they had a mechanic come to my house and fix the sub. Great service from Tommy's.

Don't lose faith most all of those things are minor. Get with the dealer and get them taken care of. These boats are great and will be problem free for the most part
