I am currently running the 2079 prop and here is some of my results from trial runs and I'm still experimenting with setup and weight to see what i can and can not do. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1686 take a look and if there is anything you would like to know more about it then shoot me a message and I can run some tests. Hope this helps I love my 2079 Prop I'm still adding weight and still surprising me how quickly it still planes out.

I just put this prop on my boat this season. I have been very impressed with the performance and also how much quieter it is vs the 1235. Much quicker to 23mph and I have dual 750's and the bow sack along with the wedge. Worth the money!

2079 quieter than the 1235? Everything I've seen would seem to suggest it runs at higher RPMs and is noisier.

Tassie, I have an A20 and absolutely....when you run a lot of weight you need to add up front as well to help with planing and keep the wake nice. I ran a 650lbs triangle sac on top of the bow seats for awhile, but have found I can accomplish the same (or better) with about 320 in lead up in the front forks and not have to deal with extra sacs.

So you have the 2079 and are still having planing issues? How is your weight set up? I run the cinco prop now but was thinking of moving up to the 2079.

I have an a20, try placing your mushroom sack on top of the seats on the bow. I also run 750's on the back with the 1235 prop. Works great

SteeleAxis - How did you access the triangles up front? I've heard you remove the little cushion in front of center fork but to remove does it just pop off?

Haha, funny (not really) story actually! I was able to access it just fine when I came around a corner in to some massive rollers caused by a yacht blazing by way too fast...no room or time to do anything, hit the first roller before could slow enough and that 650lb sac I was talking about went airborne and came down on that cushion snapping it off. LOL

Yes, normally it just pops off...there are 5 or so little pop-ins that hold it in place. There's another thread on here where someone talks about it...the hole isn't quite big enough to get the bags through, so you have to either widen it or pull them up from under where the bow sac is then shift them right and left.

I have the Australian model a20 with wedge and pnp but I have 400's in the lockers I had the 1235 but upgraded to the 2079 it made a lot of difference! The wedge is like dragging an anchor along the bottom but it makes such a great wake I hate boarding without it! It takes a while to plane lake is very deep still water at about 300m above sea level! You can get a fligh high 900 pound bow triangle I'm going to have a go at that I think
