Hey Everyone, I’m re-proping my Axis with a torque propeller.
I have the a new Acme prop and cotter pin. I watched a few videos online tonight and it shows everyone using a prop puller. I don’t currently have one of those, but I want to knock the project out this weekend if possible.
My question is how hard is it to get the prop off without a puller? Doesn’t seem that hard, but I’ve never done it.
Thanks,

You’ll def need a prop puller. Even then it will take a few good hits with the hammer to get the prop loose

I hope by now you have already changed your prop. If not, I had a difficult time changing mine. It came with a 5 bladed OJ Prop, the blades didn't have enough clearance for a prop puller. After talking with an OJ rep and just about all the marina's in my area, heating the prop with a propane torch was what they all recommended. Thankfully that worked, heating it up carefully and using a wood 4X4 and Mallet. 4 hits and it came off.
