Just got off the water from testing out my latest (and prolly last) DIY surfgate. This one was by far the best yet. Super clean wave and very long. Here r two pics w 750s equal at 3/4 full and center tank full.

Beautiful! Can you give those exact dimensions/angles, cuts etc? I want to make my next ones at those exact specs.

Hard part will be getting the angle the paddle is mounted at. I angle that a lil to replicate the angle of the true surfgate when its deployed. I just cut the paddle to fit the hull then clamped the mount into position and drilled into place. I piloted each screw tho.

And the paddle size was the 12"x24", 3/4" thick high density polyethylene I ordered from amazon w the notch cut for the hull and the top and bottom corners cut to mimic the stock surfgate.

So I wanted my gate to be adjustable to different degrees and to close up for Easier storage
