That looks really good. More weight in the bow is the key to keep the swim-platform from digging into the wave.

I've found also that if u really sink the rear end the platform sits deep enough in the water that it won't cut into the wave at all. The wave forms above the submerged platform the platform rides underneath the wave instead of cutting into the face of the wave. Makes for the cleanest wave I've even seen on my pre-'12 swim platform. Try it out. Really sink that platform with rear weight. It works for me. When riding the water runs at the rubrail. The bow porpoises a bit but the wave is clean. U'll also have to speed up some to lengthen the wave.

Perfect, I'll try that too. I have an additional (2) 350lb bags, (2) 85lb bags and 1 750lb bag.

What dimensions is your now?

I take it back...when the gate is starboard for regular side it pulled pretty hard. If I or even anyone of my crew was regular surfer I might be more inclined to persue a speed actuated system (or a 2014 axis).lucky me we are all goofy in the cove.

I finished my HDPE gate today. Hopefully it's the final one for me. That material is easy to work w and very strong. I made the mount a bit smaller to lessen the push of waves knocking it off at idle speeds. I also put holes in the triangle mount to allow water to flow thru when idling back to a fallen rider. I noticed at slow speeds waves of other boats would loosen the gate up some.

I reinforced some areas that I thought got more stress and decreased the pitch angle to around 8 degrees...
