So, I am sick of waiting for the gravity drain crap. I also am relatively impatient when filling the bag/tank, especially when switching surf sides or going from wakeboarding to surfing. Currently I have a sumo hand pump that I transfer water between sides, but getting that pump out and and hooking it up and putting it back up is also annoying. So, here's what I came up with.
A new 1100gph Rule FILL pump put onto an 3/4" intake 'T' fitting that shares the thru hull intake port with the stock 800gph. So, the stock pump would fill the tank and the new pump would fill just the Sumo 900# bag. Then a new Attwood Tsunami 1200gph, with it's 1' NPT inlet, would screw directly into the sumo 900# bag for a drain pump thru a new 1" overboard port. the stock pump would still drain the stock tank thru the stock 3/4" drain overboard port.
Looking at about $475 for the parts and shipping. That includes all switches, fittings, electrical wiring and sheathing, pumps, ballast lines, etc., etc.
Finally, I am having a small issue of passive draining of my front FlyHigh mushroom bag. I'm thinking of simply adding a 3/4" check valve to the fill side.
Any and all comments are welcome.
