Has anyone added a ski pylon to the center cup holder slot? If so, how much did it cost (from the dealer or aftermarket)? Was it as simple as it looks-just replace the cup holder and bolt in a pylon?
I am considering the ski pylon mainly for the tubes...we do some double tubing and I don't want them on the tower and the ropes get mangled in the wake on the hitch above the platform.

we have the ski pylon and had it added at time of purchase from dealer. It was about $200 I think if I remember correctly...it was simple to install.

Depends what year the boat is. To put one in my 2010 was $300 in parts and $1100 in labor. They would have to replace the entire cross brace.

That's crazy. You could save some decent money if you didn't have it on an ordered boat

Yeah it wasnt an option in 2010. Least I dont think it was. Newer boats might already have the other brace. But I dont know that.

I put one in my 2011 and it was $180 from the dealer and 5 minutes worth of work to install.

Thanks for the responses...Mine is a 2011 and it looks like it has a brace and is pre-drilled(simple install I hope!) I am going to call my dealer later this month.
Maybe Admin can get this on Boardstop...hint,hint.
