WS-420 Panel Mount for Axis

Hey guys, I've been away for a long time, but thought I'd mention that we've milled out some in-dash mounts for the Wetsounds WS-420.

Since we have been installing most of our Wetsounds stereo's without a head unit and just using the WS-420 for sound control, the factory location for the head unit is the perfect spot for the WS-420. The In-dash and Under-dash mounts that we sell from Wetsounds are great, but the In-dash doesn't fit the Axis surround. (narrower and taller)

So, we milled out our own in-dash panel, just like the Wetsounds mounts, but sized to fit the Axis perfectly. It's milled aluminum and powder coated silver, or black if you want, but the Axis surround is silver.

They are $99 just like the Wetsounds units. (We are a Wetsounds dealer)

I'll have a photo later today in the dash, but they are not powder coated yet, so it will not be fastened to the dash. Probably a week before they are coated and I have one installed.

Bad lighting but you get the idea. This is still raw aluminum, so it's a bit shiny. I'm going to run a bunch both silver and black.

Thanks - I think that would look great in Black, now I just have to convince the wife we don't need the head unit.

ha! Good luck mcmmiller. For those that always carry their own music or use spotify/pandora/etc it's a non-issue. For those that don't bring music with them… that might be tougher.

The problem is going to be that she likes the remote on the transom to adjust the volume while sun bathing if a song she likes comes on........

It's not waterproof, but you could mount the Wetsounds bluetooth controller back there, for track and volume control.

Man... That looks great.
We always take the ipod and have several playlist on it.
Just installed the WS-420SQ and still trying to get everything back to sounding right. Guy that put it in messed with the gains on the amps. Had it sounding like a beast until the WS-420SQ install. Hopefully we will get it all back with a few adjustments.
That bracket looks awesome.
