They're made out of Sunbrella fabric, which is. My last boat cover was made of black Sunbrella. I had it for over 7 years and the boat was stored outside year-round the last 4. The cover still looked brand new when I cleaned it each Spring. Just Google "Sunbrella" and you'll see...

Yeah... inside out so that the seam is visible and then slide them back on.

Oops, my mistake: beyondthewake.com does NOT carry guide pads made of Sunbrella fabric. I was following a link that was in another post and just assumed that the author was correct. Their products are made out of heavy-duty nylon, which will definitely fade over time. Hope I didn't mislead anybody...

Okay thanks I'm going to just buy the axis ones and use the 303 protectant.. between that and being in a garage now hopefully they will last 2 or 3 seasons.
