Thank you to Ed and his son for taking me out yesterday on his quicksilver wrapped A22. It was such a great day on elsinore. It was the first time I rode behind the A22 with extra weight and I was extremely impressed.

I demoed a 2010 a22 a year ago, we had 5 guys, the wedge and stock (900) ballast filled. We rode elsinore and the wake, although nicely shaped, was disappointingly small. I knew what the wake COULD be if weighted well, but it was still a shock to me that it was so small.

After riding yesterday with Ed, I am excited again because now I know that my ballast/lead plans will produce the great wake that I was expecting. Ed had the 400's in the rear and they were maybe 1/4 full, 2 adults, a full tank, wedge, and bow sack half full. I could not believe how big and thick that wake was.

So thanks again Ed, we will have to do it again sometime SOON. I am crazy sore though, I guess I need to ride more than once every 6 weeks :)

No problem John, we had a good time and will go out again soon! Its tough when you are the only boat on the lake...haha!

The wake is great and easy to manage on the Axis.

I am pretty sore myself!

I actually put the 1100 s in the back instead of the 400 s.and put one of the 400 s in the bow in addition to the front pp sack. IT IS AWESOME !

I had over #2000's of pop-product bags (steel, not lead) and some lead bricks too in my previous boat. I sold all of it because I am going with a new product that a neighbor/friend has. He has #50 bags of lead, double or triple sealed and padded in triple stitched bags with a handle. They weigh 10 lbs more than pop-product bags and are almost half the size. I plan on putting 8-10 of these in the bow. That is all the lead I will do, the rest of my ballast will be the stock tanks and plug n play bags... (750's in the rear lockers).

I can get you his info, I am vapor-locking on the website name, but will post it when I remember. He is out of canyon lake, ca.

I am thinking of swapping out our 400s for 750s. For those of you that have done this does the boat have trouble planing out when using the wedge?

okay. the company is Lead-Wake... can't find a website. Their info is in a lot of wakeworld forums, but I speak with the guy almost daily. I can get you his info if you want it.

yes, 400's, 750's, 1100's... you can put whatever you want back there I suppose.
