Had issues with the wake at the factory set speed of 24MPH, then realized the speedo must be off. Upped it to 26MPH and the wake was the correct width/distance. Actual 26MPH GPS is too fast normally for myself. I realize each boat is unique, but has anyone compared a GPS to factory speedo?

Mine was +2mph from the previous owner (and suspect the factory too). I re-calibrated it at wake and surf speeds and its spot on (+/-0.4mph). In-case you didnt know, press up/down button until you get to lake temp (i think), and press and hold the down for 3 sec. You can then adjust the displayed speed to match your GPS. Do it on a day when you have time and patience....

The speed has been off on every boat me and my buddy's have ever bought. The first thing we do before throwing out a handle is calibrate it.

Be careful calibrating the speedometer on the water by just using gps...gps is speed over the ground and your speedo is through the water! They can be very different speeds when you are on the water...if there is any current or water movement the speedo will not match the gps speed. If you are in a river and going against the current your speedo will be more than your gps "over the ground" speed.

I was right on, my speedo was +2 mph. I adjusted it (no current where we ride) and now its spot on. I now have my correct cruise speed set at 25.2

Did you have to be on lake temp to be able to adjust? Mine is 2.5 mph slow and I tried every setting and couldn't get it to let me adjust it.

It was either temp or depth...one resets everything...just makes ur speed goto 0, all gauges move etc...doesn't hurt it though and the other resets the speedo...but it worked for me..I was +2mph over and now I'm dead on with gps..
