So I have a soulcraft. Hand laid fiberglass. Are there rack options for hand laid boards? I usually have it up front or on one of the seats and have to keep moving it around. Anybody come up with anything clever?

I put my Triple X 4'9" in the rear side compartment on top of my empty 750lb bag until I'm ready to surf, then pull her out. It fits on the top tines of my swivel rack but it's pretty tight fit and I'm scared of it denting or gouging my board.

There are numerous surfboard racks on ebay that you might me able to swap or add to your tower.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the significance of "hand laid?" as far as it pertains to racks? Are they too thick to fit the standard swivel rack?

They are very pliable and thick. I wouldn't trust putting them into a rack. It could easily damage the board. My Triple X barely fits into the top tines of my swivel racks. it's a real tight fit.

Okay, thanks. I have a Ronix Koal, 4'10", that wouldn't fit in my lockers, but got damaged when I hit a wave and it caught some wind from sitting in the bow. Fixed it, and now keep it in the rack, but it does have some dents from both the forks, as well as the bungee cords. Sounds like the same isse. In my case, the damage is only cosmetic (and the board doubtlessly cost less), and since the board had to have some repair work done, no big deal. I wonder, though, it making some sort of panels molded to fit the board that you could insert and attach to the bungees would spread the load enough to prevent damage.
