Ran my back up prop (core prop) for the first time with any weight in the boat and did it ever suck. Cant wait to get my main prop back from the shop! Darn low water levels have repairs about 2 to 3 weeks....

I had that prop from the factory, and now use it as a back up. Just curious as to what didn't you like about it?

Fully loaded 10 people and just tanks full it really struggled our of the hole and wouldn't maintain speed. It would vary by over 2 mph.

An acme 1235 which i love. It was a victim of low water level. Knocked it up and threw it off balance. At the launch next to the dock.

So your 1235 pulls weight better than your core? I thought the core would pull weight better than any prop...

No the core has more top end but nothing at the bottom. I want to say its a 575 first i have ever ran with it.

You mean the 537? That's the standard prop...horrible good for only tanks and light crew. I think I'm gonna sell mine once my OJ backup gets repaired.

Yup that's it. Sorry couldn't remember. It is definitely only good for a back up.

I am have the same understanding as imondi. The 537 is the stock prop, the high alt is the 1235, and the most aggressive is the OJ core. The core prop has a top speed of 35/36 on the A22 with 335 motor, so that is surprising that you couldn't get your normal weight up to speed.
I wish someone could do a good side by side of the core and acme. Gaffster, before you put the 1235 back on, next time you go out with your OJ, do you think you can do some fully weighted and unweighted 0-23mph times, top speed times, etc?
I did an OJ core vs OJ cinco, but we still need a 1235 write up if you can.
