So on my summer vacation this year I took off work to be able to use my new A22. FIRST! day there boat started to cut off for no reason, and I would loose my dash and all power to ignition switch. I believe I fixed that when I tightened a very loose ignition wire behind console. Then I was going to show my buddy how the cruise control worked so he could drive and I could board. Go to come up on plain, and its like it just slipped out of gear ( i thought i had spun the prop off). Boat will idle, but will not go into forward or reverse, like nothing is engaging. took to a local dealer on the lake who deals with supra's took a look at it and thinks its either the transmission or v drive. Anyone every heard of these transmissions going bad at such low hours?? or v drive. very frustrated for obvious reasons, had this boat for a month......its at a axis dealer now.

Never- hope it turns out to be something more minor. Good thing it's under warranty, those v drives are pricey.

Something similar happened to me. Turns out the throttle cable came unhooked at the motor. If you remove the access panel under the rear seat you can see where it attaches at the motor. There is a slide clip that holds it place. It was a really simple fix, but gave me the same symptoms you are describing.

yeah the tech at the lake said all cables look to be moving and in place. however it was just a quick assessment

My transmission went out at 30hrs. It was a little different than what you described. It started beeping at me saying service, but it still went in gear. You could just feel it slipping.I called the dealer and they thought it was a loose throttle cable, but when I took it in the next day they said it was glazed..If you have plug and play and you sac it out when you ride make sure you have the right prop.I think that was my problem.

thanks gibby, yeah i have been talking to doug since this began. he is good shit. hopefully they can have me on the water before snow is on the ground. And yeah chad i didn't get any alarms, no burnt transmission fluid, no grinding sounds. i had all 3 tanks full but only me and my buddy were on board so i don't think i was putting too much stress on it.
