My front chill ax seat (for bow) feels like the springs are broken it just kinda flops around loose until it catches on the locks. The back one( for main sitting area) feels like it has resistance when lifting and closing. Anybody else notice/have anything like this ?

I occasionally have problems getting them to close. Lift up and the latches won't release.

I find that if you lift it crooked one side will catch... and when you lift it again to close it the other will catch and the first one will release... gotta monkey with it a little sometimes. as for springs... I don't think there are any. I think the tension you feel is just the chillax cushion pressing on the other seat cushion. If you take the front middle cushion out the bow chillax really wobbles.

Thats just what i noticed.

yeah i have had them get stuck with one side locking and the other side not locking. you just have to twist the seat a little to get it back right. as for the tension i wanna say the first few times i lifted the seat it felt like it had tension, and then one day it just felt different. so you think its the rubbing of the seats infront/behind of the chillax. so if i just remove the seats they should feel the same? i guess i could remove the front seat and test this theory

Check the mounting brackets where the metal arm braces connect to the boat, One of mine came installed upside down and it made my seat do the same thing.

thats normal.
no springs, just like kohlieo says, the tension you feel is from the seat cushions. In your video your bow cushions are missing, so you will have no resistance.

How difficult would it be to install my own chill ax brackets? My boat didnt come with the feature.
