I don't know how many other LS3s we have here but I have about 15 minutes of 5mph and idling before I get out of the marina. Almost every time I pull it out, I get coolant temp warnings just before I'm out of the 5mph. It's up at 185* Once I speed up, it'll drop down to 165-170* and it's good.
Anyone else?

Does this happen when you go back in as well, or just on way out?

The warning buzzer needs to be raised to 200deg, it sounds like its just coming on when your thermostat is opening. Probably have to get the dealer to put in a 160 instead of the 180. Or reflash the computer to raise the warning temp.

Thanks, didn't think to check the bucrew site.
Sounds like I fit right in with those others. I'll check with the dealership tomorrow when they open.

Yours is quite a bit newer and maybe has that booster pump kit already installed?

I have almost 200 hours with the similar situation to get out of the marina. Mine stays between 155-158.

Last time I came out of the marina (Wednesday) I made an effort to hustle out and I beat the alarm... Got up around 170 before I made it out of the 5mph but it cooled down as soon as I took off.
