Until axis can replace the plastic piece where the rope mounts, any ideas for a replacement or quick (or temporary) fix? The top channel is cracked all of the way around, and the bottom channel is going soon (visible cracks, but not broke loose yet). I don't even know what it's called. Every tower manufacturer has their own name for it.

wrap the tower mount with duct tape and slap your backup rope on it?? How much does that thing swivel anyways? On my 2007 Supra the swivel didn't turn freely much at all.

A lot of boats I've been on, the plastic inserts aren't even made to spin. And some towers just have bare aluminum.

I thought about duct tape, I'll see how it works. I might see how the aluminum looks under the plastic too. Thanks. More ideas welcome. Any ideas for fabricating a new swivel from some sort of plastic or aluminum? PVC?

having one machined out of aluminum would be very sweet. I might know a guy that could fab one up.

I would like to see the light get incorporated too. Like this, except in black:

@ morrisdl - Agreed! I already had to replace the light dome last year...no idea how it came up missing! Lucky for me, my dealer had 1 around to ship to me FREE!

That was me: http://www.axiswakeboardboats.com/viewt ... 853&p=6466

I still used the factory white insert. I suppose the comptech rope release could be modified to work without the white plastic piece, but that would be a much more expensive fix.
