Has anyone else had a problem with the boat saying service required at start up, This happens on my boat about twice a trip. All the gages look good and the boat is running good not sure what is going on.

Yes, Mine did the same thing. My cruise control wasn't working correctly at first and I found out it was the tachometer.

Once I switched out the tach it started showing a service required error when I started the boat just like yours. It took me about 6months to convince the shop that that's what it was, but once they switch it out it hasn't done it since.

Mine is doing it more often now. It will take a few seconds extra to start then that will display. Taking it in for warranty work. I will have it checked out.

I think the check valve in the fuel pump is going bad. Si it has to reprime the system and causes the long start. My truck did the same thing.

That's going to be a pain as the fuel pump is in the gas tank. Thank goodness for warranty.

I am going to call tomorrow and see what the dealer says.

dealer said the tach was the problem. There is a TSB on it.

MONEY......Too bad it took me a the to teach the dealership that. Glad you got it fixed.

I think this was one of the early issues with the '09 and '10 boats causing issues with the cruise not working...

Now there is an issue with the 2011 models too! I have not taken mine out yet, but in my opinion this sounds like Axis may need a recall on the tachs!
Jack, let me know what Singleton does. I may need to go ahead and get a new revision tach on order!

My cruise works fine. It's just a starting issue. I am dropping the boat off today.

THe first run of tachs 09-10 caused Cruise problems and the second run caused service required problems. They should be able to swap it out in like 15min and your done. I had them drop ship mine and I did it myself.
