I’m new to the forum and plan on buying a Axis in next few months. I plan on buying used and my budget is max of 65k. Im looking for the best possible wave for surfing. I would like to have surfgate so 2014 or newer. My question is A22, A24, T23 and do the newer hull designs throw a better wave? Do I need to increase my budget to get into a newer boat? Thanks for any insight!

I have a 15 A24 surf is great but some say t23 will surf slightly better. That said I will sell mine for under 65 so you can get a killer surf boat around that price.

I have a 2018 T22 and it throws a great surf wave. Don't know how much the new hull design helps, but mine has it.

With a budget of $65k, you could get a new one very close to that number.. I did.

I agree with JChi - I'd bet you can get a not crazy optioned hold over 18 (brand new) at that number about now. Or def a '17. I didn't pay all that much more for my '18 T22 this spring.
