I've always wondered since I had an Axis why they put the fuel opening on the port side. I assume most drivers find it easier to dock on the starboard side.

Why doesn't Axis put the fuel opening on the starboard side? Am I missing something?

It's on the same side as my truck so easy to fill both up together. Its just the standard for boats kinda like why are they rhd and not left it's just how they were designed

I had the same thought last weekend!!!! My 2007 VTX had gas openings on both sides, which was nice since I don't trailer my boat once season is on.

Looking under the rear step of my ‘17 A22, the gas tank is setup for a fill on either side. It would not be that hard to add a second fill for the other side.
