Newb here.

2013 A22 is loaded with all ballast options (no surf gate), LS3 vette engine w 350 hours, includes trailer for $50k

Or

2018 A20, needs bags and speakers added, includes trailer for $62k.

Family is new to wake/surf. Mostly towing teenage daughter and friends on inland lake.

Thoughts?

I’d step up. For $12k you get surf gate, 5 yr warranty, and a better hull design. Especially if you are financing it because the difference in payments won’t be that much. Only downside is the interior room on the a20 vs the a22. And that is not as much of a big deal because of the walkway changes.

A20 simple because of surf gate. Are you getting power wedge 2?

Spent some time inside an A20 this afternoon and it was very noticeably smaller inside. I think I’ll wait for a new A20/22 for the next boat and will have the time to spec it for me instead of buying off the lot.

Here’s the 2013

Are you specifically searching for an A series? There are some T22 out there around the price of the a22 you looked at but with surf gate.

Just one of them that comes to mind. - http://www.themalibucrew.com/index.php? ... ller-r871/

You should consider the t22 as well. Especially if you plan to order. New hull for 2018. The t22 will feel like a bigger boat than even the a22 because the helm is farther forward than the A series. I have an a20 and now would prefer a t22.

62k for a brand new A20 is cheap

I have to assume the A22 is the one at Tommy’s in FL? If so, looked like a nice boat.
