I got a 6.something% loan of $40k for 7 years. I pay $625 a month. I imagine with similar interest rate on a $50k boat for 15 years it will be in the 300's

If you are wanting to spend around 50k you should be looking for new 2011 model closeouts. If the dealer still has any 2011's on their lot they will be blowing them out for cheap & you can buy new instead of used. Buying new through the dealer will also give you the opportunity to use their financing which is usually a better deal than what a local bank can provide.
