I have a 2013 A22 with the center ChillAX seating option. The hardware on the seats when flipped up is so weak and flimsy that even a child can not lean up against the seats. Is there new hardware out there that can make these flip up seats functional? Thanks.

That stinks. The chillax seats on my 2015 (not in the center) is fine, but compared to what they put on the Malibus it still sucks. Why not see if you can get the Malibu hardware and put that on there?

Is it just folding back a bit on one side? Or is it completely falling flat when any weight is put on it?

It is not completely falling flat. If you lean on it, it leans back an inch or two. Feels like when you lean back on a cheap plastic lawn chair. It is a mix of the cheap hardware and the hinge on the bottom of the sheet made out of thin metal bending and attaching to plastic base material of the seat.

I see. Sorry, cant be of help then. Mine occasionally will go out of sync between the two sets of hardward. That is, I will pull up on the seat and one side will be locking and the other unlocking, leading to some flex. Good luck.
