So I have been messing around with my surf wave on my 2015 t23.
Setup: -1100 bags in each rear locker -bow sack under seats -factory ballast full -wedge down -9 people on boat
350 engine with 1235 prop (ordering a 2773 asap)
I have found that 10.6-11mph is the sweet spot for the wave and try to get 3-4 people in the bow to make the wave huge. It is way better than I could have hoped for!

Did you by chance try the exact same setup without the wedge? I can't imagine needing it with all that weight and that many people...

Great setup. Add 500lbs lead or water to the bow and you can't beat the T23. I run 150 lbs LeadWake in the nose and a 400lbs Sac in the walkway. I run the OJ 945 Prop with the 350. Awesome setup.

That seems like way too much weight in the back unless you have 3 people in the bow and everyone towards the front of the boat. I'd lose the wedge with that much weight and throw as much lead as you can handle in the front with people up there.
As I've said, I think the wedge becomes less relevant once the boat is saced out. It will drive better and get better fuel efficiency without the wedge.
In my A22 we run the bow sac under the seats, 100 pounds of lead in the nose, 650 pound triangle on the front seats with 750s in the back and we have a light crew. No wedge. It's a pretty good wave and we run about 3700 rpm with the 1235. My guess is that you are chasing better load handling with the 2773 when in reality it's just weighting the nose of the boat correctly. Before the 650 triangle we were running 4100 with wedge and 4300 with wedge. Might be psychological but I feel like we are able to stay out a lot longer without refueling .
