I've tried several products over the years always in search of that one that will make a big difference....

I see Hula Boat Care final product is marketed as a sealant. No "wax" is sold by Hula.
Performance Boat Candy products are polishes then a "wax". No sealant.

In this article, the author talks about using a sealant and then a wax. He uses two seperate products to seal and then wax.

Am I missing something? I understand how we can wetsand, use compound then varying degrees of polish but then do we seal? Wax? or both?

I've always used a polish as needed then used marine wax. I tried Hula products this winter for the first time- so I essentially used their cleaner wax which appears to be a polish? Then used their sealant. Looks really nice, shiny, appears water repelant. But is this the best for UV protection and prevention of oxidation?

Any thoughts?

I use Hula as well. I use it by their recommendation, wax (which is a cleaner wax as you mentioned) then sealant. It lasts very well for 6 months using the my boat 2-3 days per week. I don't think our boats would oxidize if you did a religious good detailing/waxing 1-2 times per year and if you wipe down all water spots after each day. My boat is stored indoors. I have no experience in owning a slipped boat but I would imagine if I did I'd be waxing more due to daily sun exposure on parts of the hull.
