I'm buying my T23 next week. Picking it up from Tilly's. I'm thankful to the members of this forum for helping me make what I hope is the right decision. If not, I blame all of you (I kid). Anyway my only real concern is getting it into my garage. The stall is plenty deep but the opening is only 120 inches which leaves me seven inches on either side. I know that's not as tight as some but I have to angle it in which makes it exceptionally hard. I was thinking about buying a Trailer Valet which is rated at 5000 lbs and it seemed like the perfect solution. Then I read that I'd really be pushing the weight limit with my boat and the Valet would probably fail. The thought of backing it in every time I take the boat out stresses me. Can someone offer up some ideas to make my backing task easier? Thanks.

Seven on each side? You got that. I've had worse over the years. ;)

There are a number of trailer dolly machines that you can use but they are not cheap.

I would take it easy the first few times and you will come up with an easy method.

Once I was stuck at the end stall between a light pole and the fence. After a few attempts I learned where I needed to put the truck to start the process and never had a problem with less than a few inches on each side.

Alright thanks man. Backup boat cameras would be cool though.

If it's 7" from the guide poles just loosen them up and turn them in an extra inch or two. That also makes centering the boat on the trailer easier. I have 3"-4" on my guide poles and it's too easy, whether I have a straight shot backing in or start out crooked. I was backing in a bass boat into a garage with maybe 2"-3" on each side when I was 17yrs old. Just takes practice and it's too easy. Don't give up to a dolly.

See if there is a front mount receiver hitch for your vehicle. I have the same clearance issue as you and luckily there was a receiver available for my truck. It's a lot easier stowing the boat when I'm facing it and pushing from the front.

You'll get used to it. 7" is plenty. I have 5" through my gate to get my T22 in the back yard. The trick for me is to keep my eye on the drivers side to get past the wheels then just head straight back.

That's easy man.. the secret imo is just hug the drivers side as much as possible. My friend parts his moomba in his garage and has literally 2 inches and he does it pretty easy but he is straight on.

I have to back it in to where the only mirror that helps is the passenger side. My drivers side is blind. But, after listening to these old pros, I think I can get it down. A front trailer hitch would be nice tho.

Give it a few trys with a spotter and you'll get it figured out I constantly jack semi trailers into little roads blindly, you eventually get the hang of it

FWIW they make a trailer valet XL for around $600 that handles up to 10000 lbs and is powered by your 18v cordless drill.

But I agree with everybody else... 120" is basically a standard storage unit width. Definitely do-able, even if you have to do a 90* right turn in, but it will take practice and probably a good amount of swearing before you get good.
